Cancer World is a print and online magazine and website for oncologists and other cancer professionals, policy makers and patient advocates. We are dedicated to improving the quality of care delivered to patients, with a particular focus on Europe.
Inclusive: We talk to healthcare specialists, researchers, patient advocates and policy makers to bring a range of insights and perspectives to the stories that we cover.
Questioning: We ask questions about the practice, science, policy and organisational issues that affect the experience of patients and outcome of the disease, and address often difficult issues surrounding sustainable delivery of quality diagnosis, treatment, and care.
Independent: We let our readers know what is happening at the cutting edge, flagging up science that is changing our approach to diagnosis, treatment or care in fundamental ways, and offering multiprofessional education on aspects of treatment and care that are important to patients but poorly covered by other training providers.
Patient focused: We go the extra mile to put the priorities and perspectives of the patient community at the heart of our coverage.
Connected: We help people keep abreast of developments within the cancer community, publishing opinion pieces, interviews with key figures, regular news updates, educational resources and alerts about forthcoming conferences and courses.
Interactive: We are keen to play our role in developing a dynamic online community that includes everyone involved in helping make things better for people with cancer. We follow a variety of voices on social media, and selectively flag up posts and tweets that we believe are novel and of interest to our followers. We encourage people to comment on our articles online, and invite people to share insights and opinions in the Voices column on our website.
